The Hempstead office carries a long-standing tradition of financial service in the community.
Roy W. Wiesner, CPA opened its doors in Hempstead in 1981, serving local businesses for decades with personalized, reliable service.
In December 2025, the firm was acquired by Gunderson’s CFO & Bookkeeping, a trusted financial services company based in nearby Waller.
Founded in 2012 by Kristin Gunderson, our firm continues the legacy of integrity and personal attention while bringing expanded CFO and bookkeeping services to the Hempstead community.

Kristin Gunderson, Owner
Kristin Gunderson is the owner of Gundersons CFO & Bookkeeping. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management in 2003. In 2006, she attended the University of Phoenix-Houston where she got a Masters in Accounting. She is married to her husband Kyle, and has two sons and a step daughter.In Kristin's spare time she enjoys traveling, kayaking, reading, and spending time by the water - A love that she developed growing up on the lake.
Elizabeth Jones, Office Manager
Elizabeth Jones is the Office Manager at Gundersons CFO & Bookkeeping. She recently moved to Montgomery with her 5 children and pup, Renni. They love the beach and family game nights. She was a stay-at-home mom for about 5 years and she is thrilled to have found such a great team at Gundersons!
Heather Renfro, Bookkeeper
Heather Renfro is a Bookkeeper at Gundersons CFO & Bookkeeping. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and brings over a decade of experience in payroll, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement across multiple industries. Heather is known for her strong attention to detail and her ability to keep financial records accurate and organized. She lives in Magnolia, Texas, and in her spare time enjoys DIY projects, gardening, homesteading, baking sourdough, and spending time outdoors. Heather enjoys learning new skills and bringing a thoughtful, hands-on approach to both her work and personal projects. She is excited to support clients and be part of the collaborative team at Gundersons.
Marinette Darby, Receptionist
Marinette Darby (Darby) is the welcoming face of our Hempstead office. Originally from Louisiana, she moved to Texas in 2001 and has called it home ever since. Darby is a proud mother of three and grandmother of six, bringing warmth and care into everything she does. Outside of the office, she enjoys crafting and gardening, where she can express her creativity and love for growing things.
