The Hempstead office carries a long-standing tradition of financial service in the community.
Roy W. Wiesner, CPA opened its doors in Hempstead in 1981, serving local businesses for decades with personalized, reliable service.
In December 2025, the firm was acquired by Gunderson’s CFO & Bookkeeping, a trusted financial services company based in nearby Waller.
Founded in 2012 by Kristin Gunderson, our firm continues the legacy of integrity and personal attention while bringing expanded CFO and bookkeeping services to the Hempstead community.

Kristin Gunderson, Owner
Kristin Gunderson is the owner of Gundersons CFO & Bookkeeping. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management in 2003. In 2006, she attended the University of Phoenix-Houston where she got a Masters in Accounting. She is married to her husband Kyle, and has two sons and a step daughter.In Kristin's spare time she enjoys traveling, kayaking, reading, and spending time by the water - A love that she developed growing up on the lake.
Elizabeth Jones, Office Manager
Elizabeth Jones is the Office Manager at Gundersons CFO & Bookkeeping. She recently moved to Montgomery with her 5 children and pup, Renni. They love the beach and family game nights. She was a stay-at-home mom for about 5 years and she is thrilled to have found such a great team at Gundersons!
Tanna Thiel, Administrative Assistant
Tanna Thiel joined Gunderson's CFO and Bookkeeping in June 2026 as an Administrative Assistant. She is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics. Tanna enjoys helping clients, supporting the team, and continuing to learn more about bookkeeping and tax preparation. She is currently expanding her knowledge in the tax field and is excited to continue growing with Gunderson's. Outside of the office, Tanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being involved in agriculture, and working on creative projects.
Josue Cardenas, Administrative Support Assistant
Josue is an Administrative Support Assistant at Gunderson's CFO and Bookkeeping and is currently a senior at Hempstead High School. He has a growing interest in accounting and enjoys gaining hands-on experience while assisting with administrative tasks around the office. At school, Josue helps teach an accounting class and is also a member of the Beta Club. After graduating high school, he hopes to attend Texas A&M University and continue pursuing his interest in accounting. Outside of school and work, Josue enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is excited to be part of the Gunderson's team and continue learning more about the accounting field.
Rebekah Slamen, Bookkeeper
Rebekah Slamen brings extensive experience to her role as a Bookkeeper at Gundersons Advisory Group. She started her accounting journey in 2003, earning Diplomas in Data Entry & Office Assistant, then furthering her education with a Certification in Computerized Accounting from H-Tec in 2006. Her passion for accounting grew alongside her family, leading her to develop expertise from diligent work with CPA Firms throughout her career. In 2024, she made a change of pace leaving big-city life behind & to call small town Brenham home where she solidified her proficiency by completing her QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification. Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys bible study, staying active with fascia-focused exercises, participating in community events with her 2 daughters & cheering on her son at his soccer games.
Daniel Moran, CPA
Daniel Moran, a licensed Texas CPA since 2014, joined the Hempstead office of Gundersons Bookkeeping in July 2026. With seven years of experience in business and personal tax at public CPA firms, Daniel has also served as CFO for both an employment agency and an engineering firm. He specializes in analyzing financial statements to identify strategic growth opportunities, optimize bottom-line performance, and maximize tax savings for his clients.
